Light Field

Dark Field

The Glass object is against a dark background

-General Rule: Don't light from the front. Its harder, and the light doesn't reflect well because glass absorbs light.
-You can dull down mirror's reflection in photoshop to make the reflection more subtle
-Don't line up water in a glass (or any other see-through object) with the horizon line.
-As soon as there is water in the glass, the object acts like a lens
-Use the S table, its perfect for glassware photography
-Want to turn the glass upside down with the liquid still in it? Use jelly!
-Want to use ice, but don't want the melting or the cracks in the ice? Use fake ice!
-Flare tends to be an issue in dark field shots.c
-No strip light? Use a big soft box and put a blanket on each side of the box to flag off the light.
-DO NOT PUT LIGHTS TOO CLOSE TO THE PERSPEX S TABLE, IT MELTS!
